About Marie-France Lyell
I am a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist registered and accredited by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I have over 20 years' experience and have worked in a variety of settings which has enabled me to gain valuable experience working with people who present with a broad spectrum of issues.
My interest in this field grew from years of voluntary work as a Samaritan while bringing up my family. This motivated me to train professionally in 1995, and I completed my counselling training with the Central School of Counselling & Therapy in Canterbury. I subsequently attained an MA in Counselling & Psychotherapy from the University of East London.
I have continued to broaden my knowledge by undertaking further training programmes and in keeping up to date with relevant literature.
